tapeworms?

Just found out my kitten has tape worms.. I'm almost 33 weeks so.. am I okay? Do I need to mention this to my OB??

Vet tech here. You can not get tapeworms unless you eat a flea. tapeworms are gross but as long as the kitten gets treated then kept on flea prevention, its fine. Theres no worry rhat you should get tapeworms from the kitten. Mention it to your OB anyway, just in case.

I'd mention it to your OB. Treat you kitten, have her stool rechecked by the vet after the wormer dosage has been administered and in her system for a week- 10 days. And have someone else do litter box duty. If you have no choice but to clean it yourself just wash your hands immediately after and be super careful not to touch your face.

I would bring it up. Did the vet say anything? I think they would be more knowledgeable about the risks of a human coming in contact with an infected animal.  Sometimes doctors are overly cautious when they don't know the actual risk.
