I'm confused and is eve suppose to tell you when you ovulate?

Ovulation is the release of an egg and can last approximately 12-24 hours on average. On average this occurs 12-14 days before the start of the next expected period, but this is just an average. It can occur at any point in a person's cycle, including during or right after their period.
Fertile window is the 5-7 days before and the day of ovulation during which your vagina has the best conditions to facilitate conception. Sperm can survive up to 7 days inside you so sex during and for a few days around the fertile window give you the best chances of conceiving.
Eve can make a prediction (aka a guess) of when you will ovulate based on the average time ovulation occurs and your data from past cycles. But an app can only tell you so much, especially just Eve. Glow has options for tracking that can make it more accurate, but even then it isn't perfect.
If you truly want to know when you ovulate you should use an assortment of physical tracking methods like tracking your cervical mucus, cervical placement, basal temp, and using ovulation tests. Most hormonal BCs prevent ovulation so if you're taking one of these correctly, tracking ovulation is unnecessary.
