So I've been researching a lot after finding out I was diagnosed with HSV-2 and I wanted to know if any one has tried any oils that are supposed to prevent you from having an outbreak. I'm hearing about coconut oil , blackseed and oregano oil.

I actually shave down there with coconut oil - love that stuff! Tea Tree Oil is great for an active outbreak. But for prevention - a very healthy, more plant-based diet - avoid triggers such as caffeine, alcohol (in large consumption), and most importantly- STRESS. I recommend L-Lysene. Some people take it daily but I usually have it on hand for times when I feel an outbreak coming on.

I'm all about this!!! I was diagnosed about 6 months ago. I regularly use the essential oil called Melissa on my tailbone area. Oregano is great too, but make sure you dilute it with like coconut oil or something. It's known as a "hot" oil and can bother your skin. I use a mixture of Melissa, clove bud, oregano and malaluca essential oils. I put about 10 drops of each in a roller bottle and top it off with fractionated coconut oil. Essential Oils!!! I swear by them!! If I'm feeling even the slightest tingle or itch I take 3 drops of oregano and malaluca in a veggie capsule! I'll take it 3x per day for about 3 days. 
Also daily I put clove bud oil and Melissa oil on my tail bone! Both are known to be pretty helpful in supporting you against breakouts!

I've been doing a lot of research too and am going to be trying to stay on a strict raw diet with no sugar. Juicing, staying hydrated, exercising and overall healthy lifestyle should help with immune strength to prevent outbreaks. I've also been reading about DMSO with hydrogen peroxide or colloidal silver in areas that the virus is known to hide in the nerves. I also just ordered oregano and coconut oil to try. Hoping for the best...if anything I'll fix other health problems 😕

I take Lysine everyday, which has be known to help. Vitamin C and Lemon balm (aka Melissa) are also good. You can get creams of Lysine and lemon balm for topical use as well.
