Uterine Septum Causing Ectopic

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone else was told a uterine septum caused their ectopic or if they have one? I found out after the fertility clinic did an SHG and the Dr feels this was the reason for my ectopic. I didn't want to do surgery but after ttc'ing unsuccessfully for an additional 8 months I went ahead with it. It was actually great because they repaired septum and removed scar tissue on tube from ectopic. Would love to hear stories of anyone who has been through something similar.
