how is it I'm 5 weeks out already?

How does this calculator work.. it says enter your last period (1st date) that's how many weeks you are.. but we didn't try till last week how can I be 5 weeks? Also said conceived October 8th, we didn't try till about the 11th

So there's gestational age and there's conceptional age. Almost everyone uses gestational age since most people conceive accidentally or they aren't tracking their ovulation as closely as women like us.

The first date of your last period is a better judge of the "age" of your pregnancy than the actual date you conceived only because most people don't know when they conceived. As soon as you have an ultrasound, they measure the baby and re-date you based upon that more reliable data.

So yea, you're 5 weeks but the baby might only be 2-3 weeks old.

If you look for due date calculators online, some of them have the option to put day of ovulation or day of conception to calculate due date if you're curious. But you'll still be called 5 weeks pregnant. Glow just doesn't give us that option.
