flu shot...

My doctor wants me to get the flu shot but I really don't want to... I never had it and don't plan on starting now. I told her I read about it putting some ppl into preterm labor and their baby not making it which makes me pretty scared to get it. She still insisted I do. I just don't want to!! My mom even says not to(I know she's not a doctor) but she even said she's never had it. I had the flu once & it was one of the worse feelings in my life.. & I also hear you'll feel crappy after getting the shot because it's a dose of the flu. I'm just paranoid about it & I don't want to lie and tell my doctor I got it when I really didn't.... any advice??? Have you other moms gotten it????
