Worried about having an incompetent cervix!! I have no risk factors! Advice? Help? Success stories with an IC??

I'm 18 weeks pregnant today... and here lately I've been reading online (I know, bad thing to do) and I've learned a NEW and UNWANTED thing that can happen in pregnancy... I've heard of people losing a healthy pregnancy due to incompetent cervix.. the baby literally just slips out without any pain or anything... and now I'm worried that it'll happen to me... I don't want to lose this baby😭 Can someone, ANYONE please tell me how common this is? I have no risk factors of the condition but I'm just very paranoid being that I'm a FTM...😩 Someone please help..!

There's no way to tell if you have an incompetant cervix. You with do or you don't and the only way to know is if you miscarry for that reason. The best thing you can do is stop stressing about the what ifs and just be thankful for every day while you're living it. Everything will happen the way it is supposed to. Have faith. 💗 good luck

I have never experienced it before but from what I've heard all they do is stitch your cervix closed. Ask your Dr about it but if you have no risk factors maybe it's not that your a ftm but it could be an anxiety disorder coming out due to hormone changes.
