technically no but honestly if you're in a deep sleep you'll wake up in whatever position you flipped into in the middle of the night. i wake up on my back all the time and im almost 33 weeks. i try to sleep on my sides but my hips get extremely sore after a while.

The reason It can be dangerous is because when your towards the end baby can lay on your main artery and make you pass out. It actually happened to me twice while having late scans. But it doesn't always happen I think it depends on where baby is laying.

In early pregnancy it's fine to back sleep. But it's recommended to sleep on your left side in late pregnancy so your blood can circulate easier

I've never heard that sleeping on your back wasn't good? I'm 32 weeks and half the time I can't even lay on my sides without him kicking and moving all around. I've always heard just not to cross your legs to much cause of blood going to the placenta or something along those lines but I'm also guilty of that. 😴

If you can get comfortable that way you're fine. I can't lay on my back for more than a few seconds without feeling dizzy and unable to breathe.

It's bad to lay flat on your back... baby will push up on your diaphram and lungs, as well as put pressure on your heart and spine.... if you prop up with pillows it elevates these issues and is safe to lay/sleep on your back.

Personally I think it's ok to because you need to be comfortable to sleep. I haven't read anything that says it's wrong to sleep on your back. People say don't lay on your right side and your back because you can hurt the baby but I do it and my baby and I are fine

I think it's fine. Sometimes I cant lay on my sides because of how soar I am that day.  I usually cant lay on my back because I find it more uncomfortable and it's harder for me to breath.  But sometimes that's the only position that's I can lay in.  I might all depend on the person though.  I would talk to your doctor and see how he/she feels about it.
