postpartum pads...tena v. depends?

Question

What do you ladies recommend for postpartum pads? Im a ftm and currently packing my hospital bag and have no idea 🙃 I just want another option besides the mesh panties given at the hospital

I used Depends and they were a lifesaver! They tear at the sides so when you're done you just tear them. And I didn't bleed through them. I bled through the giant pads they give you at the hospital.

I has c/sec with daughter but still bled heavy post partum for like 2 weeks. Used overnight pads in undies I didn't care about. Used mesh undies until stitches out tho bc they're so high.

Anything with dual wings!! Honestly, I got the overnight ones that Always makes? It has the dual wings on both sides and kinda makes you feel like you're wearing a diaper but no leakage and no wet squish when I sat down.. forgot them my first night after my daughter and I was so UNCOMFORTABLE!!! Kept having to change the stupid hospital mesh thing because it didn't hold anything for crap! Plus when I couldn't either because I was holding baby or family or being checked or whatever, so much squishiness!!!!

I got a c section and they told me is not the same as vaginal delivery ..buy i still used pads cuz i was bleeding. anyways I only used pads they were very long and thick pads wich they provide  them in the hospital ( in TX )

You could just use old brief undies or buy a pack at walmart and use period heavy flow pads,thats what i did.
