Question

The last few days I've been struggling with what to do with my newborn. Your not supposed to leave them in a swing or chair for long, but I can't hold her forever. With tummy time, I'm not comfortable with that unless she is against my chest for good support (slightly sitting up). And what do I do for play? She eats and sleeps, wakes for a bit but that's about it

Honestly i didnt do alot with my newborn until he was like 3 months old. When he was awake i talked and smiled at him.

Just talk to her for play time! Babies should be talked to as much as possible when they're awake 😊 my son is now 2 months and LOVES laying on his play mat starting at the lights and bright colored toys; he's even trying to bat at them! 
As far as sleeping: we put our son in his crib when he napped so he'd get use to sleeping there instead of relying on sleeping with us or in a swing.

Just walk around and show him/her things. My LO looooves to be talked to, so I narrate what we're looking at or doing. We read books to her now and let her look at the pictures. My husband likes to sing to her. But really early on, there's not much point in toys or anything.

Do you have a wrap or anything so you can baby wear? I have a 5 week old and am going to start doing that around the house so I can get things done!
