Frustrating TTC doctor visit

Went to the doctor today for a checkup. We've been trying to conceive for 7 months after coming off of 8 years of continuous birth control. I have severe endometriosis and the doctor wants me to go BACK on the pill for four months. I am so disheartened. He said I can try to lose weight during that time. I mean I can stand to lose some weight, but I'm not severely overweight. It took me 7 months to get my cycle into a normal range. I just don't want to start over.
