I have bought everything except a few outfits I've added more stuff since these pics. Lol I have spent so much money its insane. Every paycheck I have bought something since I was like 13 weeks. I only need now a breast pump diapers and the bedding for the crib but he will be sleeping with me so I wasn't in a hurry on that. To me it feels good to have done all of this alone. I provided everything for my son. My husband provides for me. So I made sure I got everything for our son. 💙

I got EVERYTHING myself during sales and using coupons. I'm very picky and even though this is my fourth baby (2nd little girl), I chose to get her all brand new items. I've done so for all of her siblings. I don't expect much from anyone. Her godparents and dad got her some stuff that I haven't picked up. But, I don't really mesh well with others while pregnant 💁🏽

We have a small shower planned for this weekend. Only two gifts from our registry have been purchased. We have been prepared to purcHse most everything and I have been stocking up on diapers all year. I would say be sure to put EVERYTHING on Registries at multiple stores. If you do have to purchase yourself they often do coupon completions for 15% off.. then wait for a baby deal (if you can). Target usually has the best baby deals. Check out the Target couponing group on FB (if you have a target close by anyways)... amazon does it also.

My mom helped out a lot with my first but my husband I bought pretty much everything ourselves. I know how you feel with seeing all the pictures of what people get. We registered with our first baby and had a shower and we only got one thing off our registry and 1 package of diapers. We were obviously grateful for the things we did get but it was disappointing to still have to go out and buy everything that we needed. This time we're just doing everything ourselves. You should still register at a bunch a places though because you get a lot of coupons and after a certain amount of time some offer a percentage off remaining items.

Even though my baby shower is in a couple weeks, I have the majority of my stuff. It's because most people don't buy off registry or can't afford expensive items, so I've just bought lots used and have saved crazy amounts. Plus I'm so stress free knowing I'm not expecting anything from the baby shower and will appreciate all gifts (necessary or not) This is our nursery... $140 used crib and $75 for the used swing... honestly worth waiting online For the items, these are close to brand new!

Well I'm not having a baby shower.. and I don't expect anybody to buy my Child anything either...

Yep. Every last item. We moved 10 hours away in my first trimester. 1500 dollars later! I'm jealous too!

Do you have coworkers? Or any groups you are a part of? They might give you gifts or throw you a baby shower. I had to give a million baby gifts before I got to be on the receiving end. Maybe your people don't really do showers? The upside there is that you haven't spent tons of money on gifts for other people. If they do, and if you've been a hostess before for someone else's shower, then maybe bring up memories of her shower. I hear people with kids get really preoccupied with their own kids' lives and may be late to the game on your baby. Have you announced gender and name? If not, sometimes people wait for birth to buy gifts. Are you registered at any stores? Just some things to think about. I hope you get some sweet gifts for your baby! People usually like to give clothes and toys, but we've lucked out with diapers and burp cloths too.

I have bought everything for both my children myself (my husband and I did). My friends get everyone wanting to buy things for them and throw them a baby shower, but no one offers the same to me. It makes me a little sad, but whatever. I'm throwing my own baby shower too.

With both of my babies I bought everything myself. No baby shower. First child the dad desided not to step up and this time my husband and I bought everything except a few outfits. We are not having a baby shower.
