Has anybody flight before with a two month old? If yes, how did it go?

We are flying from California to Indiana with our two month old baby because of grandpa been sick. I am very scared to travel with her and also very scared of her getting sick!! Any advice? Has any body travel with a two momth old before?

I did. My grandmother was dying. We made it just in time for her to say goodbye and see the baby. Baby did fine. One glad I went.

I have three kids and I've travelled multiple times with young baby's. it's honestly no big deal. Breastfeed During take off and landing. Chances are baby will sleep the rest of the time.

Germs are everywhere. I'm not a germaphobe, with 3 kids, I can't be. Germs in general are good for baby's and building immunity. One plane ride should be fine. Keep breastfeeding though because you are constantly passing immunities to your baby through the milk keeping baby healthy even if you are sick.

I have to travel a lot as well due to my husbands job and stuff so I always made sure there's no AC on and she's warm. If you're able to book two tickets so you will have a little more space just walk her around when she's awake and feed, change her diapers as always. I was just really concerned she would get sick so you should really make sure she wont get sick by checking her temperature and stuff.

Super easy, especially if you have your partner with you to help carry stuff. Most airlines will check your car seat for free, and a diaper bag usually doesn't count toward your carryon limit. I wore my baby in a wrap and it was so simple. I didn't even have to take her out to go through security. She just sat on our laps on the plane and looked around. Most people say to feed them through takeoff and landing to help their ears, so be ready to do that if you can. My baby didn't want to eat at those times but her ears were fine anyway. And she didn't get sick at all. The baby shouldn't be coming in direct contact with much at the airport or on the plane, so as long as you do plenty of hand-washing and sanitizing yourself, she should be fine.

You can Google lots of tips for traveling with small babies. I would just say to take it slow, give yourself plenty of time, and don't worry about anyone else. If your baby cries, she cries. Whaddaya gonna do. Anyone who's a parent will understand.

I did. My first was exactly 2 months old when we flew from London to Dubai, so a 7 hour flight almost. I was very nervous how the flight was gonna be with such a young baby and obv he was my first so I wasn't experienced. Surprisingly it went so well. Feeding was a little difficult having to cover myself and all that but honestly it was fine! Just keep a pacifier or bottle for baby to suckle on when u take off and land but itll prolly be ok, my son didn't even need anything to suck on, I was quite surprised he was so calm!

It was easier then a car trip. On the way there I chose to lap her. We did a gate check with her car seat and stroller so I could use it in the airport. I waited to feed her a bit so she could eat and then sleep the majority of the flight. She did great. On the way back they offered an additional seat at no cost so we strapped her car seat in next to the window. She slept the entire way home. Sorry about your Loved one. Hope all goes well!

It's easier now than when they start moving.  I traveled with my son at 3 and 5 months.  3 months was definitely easier.
