Are my periods regular?

Question

Talking to a friend she tells me regular cycles are 28 days always. However my cycles are average around 32 days give or take a day. Does that mean I'm irregular and I've been thinking I am all along? My husband and I have been ttc for 3 years any advice is appreciated.

Regularity means consistency. If your cycle is more or less 28 days or 24 days or 32 days, every month that is normal. I've been told by my RE that regular/normal cycles occur anywhere from 23 to 32 days. It can be considered irregular when one month you have a 23 day cycle and the next 32. This is what was happening to me. I finally went to a fertility specialist and did a number of tests and found out I had high prolactin. Talk to your OBGYN or specialist and ask for your hormones to be checked. Better to know than not know!
