private ultrasound ? 17 weeks

I'm getting a ultrasound done tomorrow to find out the gender and I'm super excited !! But everyone keeps telling me it's not gunna be accurate or you can't rely on it cause I'm too early ? I'll be 17w5days . 
Anyone else had an early gender scan and it was right ?

I had a 3d gender US at 15 weeks was told it was a girl! (Paid out of pocket) went back to the doctor at 21 weeks to confirm its still at girl! I wouldnt say its to early.

I had one at 15 weeks 3 days found out it's a BOY and at the anatomy scan with the doctor at almost 18 weeks it was still a boy.

My private sonographer said she pretty accurately tell the sex of a baby from 16 weeks. I had a scan just after 17 weeks and she was right about my little boy. If the baby isn't lying right and won't move then they might not be able to see, but if they get a good view and are competent they should be accurate at 17 weeks.
