Am i too young?

Question

Hey girls, I want to know your opinion on wether im too young to have a baby. Im 17 turning 18 in 2 months. I have a full time job and dont plan on attending college anytime soon. My boyfriend is 22 has two jobs and we have been saving for this for over 6 months we have around 5,000 dollars saved, for our own place and a baby. We both think we are ready and would love to start a family but all my friends are saying im too young. i Want to know what you guys think / any advise please comment ! thank xoxo

Personally, I would get a place together but wait about six months before trying for a baby. Moving in with someone changes a relationship and sometimes drastically. I'd rather move in together get settled in and comfortable with living with my SO before adding a baby to the mix.

I honestly think that u r young having a baby is a lot of work and even tho ita something u want so bad u need time to grow and learn who u r first. After having a baby is a lot when u go to work who is going to watch the baby?  When u want to go party or be with u'r friends?  If u want to go on vacation?  A baby is a big responsibility and I'm 19 nd married and as much as we want a baby we know we r young and need to wait awhile. Plus u aren't married and having a baby with someone u aren't married to can b hard too.  Think first

I think it is fairly young. Of course in the end you will di what feels right for you but since you're asking for opinions I'd definitely say to wait. Babies are expenisive and when you're saving for a place AND a baby your savings can disappear fairly quick. If having a baby is the right thing for you two, then you'll feel the same way in a few years.

I agree that you should maybe wait until you have your place, save some more & settle in then you guys should go ahead with your plans. Having your own makes things a tad bit easier.

I'm 18 and also stable financially so me and my partner decided to have a baby I'm 11 weeks now. Some people still have a problem with it even though I feel I'm in more of a position to have a child than them. I started partying young too so I have no interest in that and haven't done for a while so I thought why not bring life into the world. I say go for it you're ready when you're ready if you're ever ready that is 💕

This is a time that you will never get back once you have a child. I know that you already know this, but once you get pregnant and have a kid they come first in every single way. You put your own life and your own needs on the back burner. To me, I would want to savor the time (especially since you are only 17) that you have to live for yourself. The time that you are in right now is the only time in your life when you get to live selfishly. I wouldn't be so quick to throw it away, especially since you have so much time ahead of you to have children and be a mother.

I think that's a choice you have to make. Do you feel you're both mature enough? Are you ready to give up being young and free to have a baby? It's all thing YOU have to decide for yourself

It's not that you're too young, it's that   you have so much ahead of you. If you don't want to go party or hang out with your friends as much. If you think you're mature enough to handle a baby. I'd say try babysitting a younger kid/baby for a couple nights.

You have a good head on your shoulders, but I would save a bit more, wait til you're 18, get your own place, get settled, and then start trying.
