How will you be having your baby?

I don't know what other would pertain too, I just thought I would give the option. But I just want to know how women feel about getting an epidural. Please comment if you have had one, and why you did and if you would choose it again. Personally, I am TTC for my first, I haven't had an epidural at all, but I would not chose to have one. I do not want to drug my baby. My mother had me and my siblings naturally, and I want to as well. 
What about you ladies? Please feel free to drop facts on epidurals too. Pros, Cons, experiences, etc.

I chose "other" just because my plan is to give natural birth a try.  I'm not too proud to turn around and have an epidural if things get too extreme for me.

My mother had her babies naturally and I wanted to do the same. But I have had to be induced with both of mine and decided to get the epidural. It's wonderful. It didn't affect my children at all. Both were wide awake an hour plus after their birth. 
Don't be afraid to change your mind and do what works best for you. My Mother said that she wished she would have gotten an epidural because she could see I felt so good after I had given birth. And I really did, I wasn't even tired, just sat there and held my baby and enjoyed them the whole day. 
In the end of all it doesn't matter what you choose. Just getting baby here safe and sound is what is important. 😊

I went into hospital with the intention of having a natural birth with no pain meds. I was open to gas and air if it was absolutely necessary. I ended up taking all the pain meds available and even had an epidural when the other meds weren't masking the pain enough. And I needed up having a c-section too. Next time I won't even bother making a birth plan cos the last one just went out the window faster than I could say jack.

I had a 30 hour labor and no pain meds. It took a lot of inner strength to do it med free. However I don't feel women should not have an epidural. Everyone should do what works best for them.

My sister tried going without an epidural with her 2nd because with her first epidural she was numb all the way up to her neck. 
She was in labor for a while and then she was screaming... and screaming.. and asking for pain meds and crying for her mom and an epidural. That shit can hurt, you should probably consider that you might have to. She was so determined to not get an epidural that she didn't get one until she was dilated at an 8.

I had an epidural during my stillbirth and have had back problems ever since. My boys were both pain med free births  (youngest was induced due to non growth and fluid reduction though) and for me, I'm in a lot less pain afterwards without epidural.
The way I see it is if you need pain relief then go ahead, same with c-sections. Your still a mother at the end of it no matter how you give birth.

Epidural!!! Best decision i ever made! I had to be induced due to gestational diabetes and could get epidural as soon as i got to the hospital because i was almost to 4cm already...had no pain what-so-ever...slept for 6hours until it was timw to push....couldnt feel pain during pushing either. Best thing ever, i had such a great birthing experience and thanks to that i have no horrible memories regarding my daughters birth!
