Road trip?

Hey ladies, so I'm 34 weeks pregnant & me & my SO are going away for a road trip to our Virginia house to get away before the baby gets here.... the car ride is about 6 1/2 hours... what are your opinions on traveling ? Is it a bad idea ?

I personally wouldn't but I'd talk to your doctor before going. I'd also make sure you mapped out where hospitals are along the way and how to get to them and see if your insurance will cover you in those hospitals.

I went to the beach (12hr drive) at 8mo preg. Lol I didn't get the socks but my doc said to stop every like 2 hours and walk a bit so you don't get blood clots.

We did a 13 hour road trip. We stopped at least every 2 hours for me to stretch (I had to per that often anyway!) I also made sure to take copies of my medical records with me just in case. It wasn't bad at all.

Compression socks and stop every couple hours and walk around for about 10-15 to keep blood flowing so you don't swell, stay hydrated.

I don't think so I moved from az to ny at 35 weeks pregnant. I flew. Even sitting in the car just make sure your stretching your legs so you don't swell
