Pets and new ones!

When did your pet start to notice something changing with you during your pregnancy? What types of things did they do, and how did they act? How did you prepare them for your new arrival. And when you brought your little one home how did they react?

I have a very loving, affectionate, attached pup who is very well behaved but rather hyper at times. I am terrified of how he might react to a little one. I don't think he would ever intentionally hurt them, but I feel as though I need to prepare myself for the worst just to be safe.
