Mom wants me with a person I don't like

Recently I meet this guy he's really sweet he has adhd but you really can't tell. He's taking me out a few times walks me to class carries my books and I love it he's not ugly but he's not cute either he's REALLY close to my hight and those are things I really don't like and he comes off to stronge I've meet his family and he's meet mine was going to go to prom with him but I had to tell him I didn't want to be in a relationship with him really didn't want to go to prom with someone I didn't really like but my mom keeps saying how she just loves him .hes so nice I really like him ...........☺️😫😫😫I NEED ADVICE ASAP
