Braxton hicks or contractions??

I've been having constant "contractions". Probably 8 in an hour. My belly gets really tight and hard and it's extremely uncomfortable. I'm starting to get worried about having so many in such a short amount of time? Could it be labor?

I have an iritable uterus and started getting strong Braxton hicks at 17 weeks. My doc said as long as you can walk and talk through them to not worry. I am currently  26 weeks and feeling them all day long.  And Braxton hicks can hurt, I know some of mine take my breath away. Just depends on the person. I hope it's nothing serious and prayers to you and your baby! Keep us updated

Worth asking your dr. I thought I was having that at 24 weeks. I was in preterm labor. Real contractions don't have to hurt, they do have a rhythm to them though.

I would go in or call.... Thought I was having BH went in for one thing and sure enough I've been having the real deal and dilated to 2..... 30w 5d  today they let me go home but I'm still contracting

OB wants me to call in for anything more than 3. Also sit down rest and drink some water if you have 2 to try to avoid more from coming.

My OB wants today know if I have more then 4 an hour. 
I also just read that early signs of labor are 5+ contrations an hour.. Painful or painfree.

Guzzle a ton of water. At least 32 oz. Lay on your left and keep drinking. Def check with the Dr but that's the first thing they'll have to do is chug chug chug. I hope it's just dehydration. I'm technically due January 4th but we're hoping to get to Dec 14th for different reasons but it sucks being afraid your baby is going to make its debut to soon. Best wishes.

Real contractions usually are painful. I've had many episodes of Braxton Hicks and they sound like yours. My belly just hardens and it is uncomfortable but not really painful.
