will I know when I'm having contractions?

I'm a first time mom, and I haven't felt any sort of contractions or at least I don't think I have... I'm 31 weeks. I'm scared I'm not gunna know when I'm having them. I haven't felt braxton hicks, what is it supposed to feel like????

I'm scared of the same thing. I think I've had some but I can never tell. Being a FTM is scary

FTM here too! Everyone says you WILL KNOW when you're going into labor. I have the same concerns...what if it's back labor? They say you can time that too...I'm just unsure. I recently went in thinking I was having contractions, turns out I was but it was from dehydration. They registered 3 contractions that I didn't even feel! So now I'm just like.....??????????

Ftm here to and I was having menstrual like cramps starting around 32 weeks but was not painful at all and I would also feel like my uterus would get super super hard but still not hurt and I told my doctor and he said those are contractions and I was shocked cause it didn't hurt just uncomfortable

Ohhh girl you will know no mistaken👍Not to scare you but its not a period cramp.its a very intense cramp that lingers

You will know.  You won't wonder or question or think... Your brain just clicks and you go "okay, THIS is labor."  Your body knows what to do, including warning you. 
Can't explain it, but it's similar to that thing that people say happens when you meet "the one", you just know.

I am on my second pregnancy. But with my first everyone said I would know what it was when it happened. Well when I did start having contractions I actually did not know what they were. It was just continuous on off lower back pain. My mom had to call my neighbor(she was a recent new mom) to find out if I was having contractions. So don't be scared to ask if ur not sure.

I had a c section with my first so I don't think I was in labor very long, however, I never did feel my contractions. They were monitoring me when I got to the hospital asking if I could feel them and I couldn't. The only way I knew I was in labor was that my water broke
