bleeding!!.. 😭

ok so i really need an advise.. i am 27 years old.. and im 24 weeks pregnant.. expecting my very first child.. a baby boy.. so my boyfriend and i hadn't had sex since i first found out im pregnant.. july 31 to be exact.. but earlier today we just had to.. we thought it would be safe.. because everyone has been telling me i need to have a lot of sex.. to make labor easier.. and i mean what could happen.. well we were in the middle of it.. when he tells me "babe, you're bleeding!!".. and it wasn't a little mini bit.. it was kind of a lot.. and we both started freaking out not knowing what to do.. then he googled it and it said if i didn't have cramps or any kind of pain we shouldn't worry.. and i feel fine.. just my belly feels a little tender/sensitive.. but i still feel my baby moving and all.. my question is.. have any of you ladies ever started bleeding while having sex??.. is it dangerous??.. should i seek medical attention??..
