Does reading stuff on here make you scared to get married?

Honestly, sometimes I read stuff that other women share on here and it honestly terrifies me to get married... given, everyone has relationship problems, but seriously? Some of this stuff is ridiculous, I couldn't even think to hurt a person so bad as much as some of these men do... wtf.

I think if you both go into marriage with realistic expectations, and you mutually make a promise to yourselves to strive to do your best to nurture the relationship every single day, and if you see it as a new opportunity to start a life together as a team as opposed to an ending point-- then you will be okay. I think a lot of women also ignore the signs and signals that a man is bad for them and choose to get married anyways. This almost always ends badly. Ideally you would only marry someone with whom you already have a solid foundation. 
I would definitely advise pre-marital counseling, as well. Our minister required it, and while my husband and I had a great relationship already, the counseling made it even stronger (plus, it was fun 😊).

I just got on here a couple of days ago so I haven't necessarily read what you have. But, I wouldn't be terrified of something that doesn't necessarily involve you. I don't mean that in a mean way! I'm just saying, you're not married to those said people so you shouldn't be scared when you don't have to be married to those people.

I understand your fear, I'm NOT at all trying to belittle or minimize your fear so I hope I don't come off like that.
