Before we get started, can I please ask that you don't judge me for some of the wild behaviors I'm about to share with you.

I have been dating the same guy for about five years and have been seeing him exclusively. That is until about four weeks ago when I had a bit too much wine with a girl-friend of mine and had my first (and only) female sexual encounter (it was okay, but I'm just not into the V). In any case, life moved on, and there wasn't much more to say about that.

A week ago, having an abundance of booze and -being Halloween- tea light candles, we got a little frisky and decided to try some hot wax play. I loved it actually, but that's besides the point. The point, is this:

Thursday morning I noticed (on my thigh about two inches below the crease of my hip/pelvic v) two medium sized, very close together pimples, that had formed (sorry this is going to be gross) big, nasty, whiteheads. They weren't very painful, just a little sensitive like a pimple would normally be. Needless to say, this concerned me, as nothing like this has ever happened before. I am hoping it was simply clogged pores from all the wax, but my mind immediately jumped to herpes. I called my doctor and made an appointment for a std screening anyways, just to be on the safe side, but the appointment isn't until Tuesday. 

Here's where it gets worse; 

My mom (whom I spend a lot of time with) just had a cold, or the flu. Saturday morning, I woke up with a sore throat and congestion. I assumed I had caught whatever she had. But throughout the day, I developed fatigue, a cough, and a fever. Also my shoulders were sore (but this happens to me regularly due to joint problems). 

I've been doing some reading, and the fever, sore muscles, and fatigue could also be signs of herpes. The more I read, the more freaked out I get. Although I haven't seen anything saying herpes can cause a sore throat, coughing, watery eyes and nasal congestion. The pimples have also all but healed, and the good old internet seems to think herpes sore last quite a bit longer than that. But I'm still really panicky about this. 

I'm really hoping someone has some reassuring advice to calm me down before I can get the results from my doctor, because feeling like this is the scariest thing in the world.
