Anyone else's family hate the name you have picked?

I have had my little boys name picked since I was a teenager and I can't think of any other name I want for him. But my Mother, Grandpa and Uncle all hate it and always make fun of it. They seem to think he will get teased... What do I do??

This is exactly why I refuse to tell anyone the names I've picked out. Everyone is so judgmental! Downside of not spilling the beans, they all sure like to suggest ones they like! Ughhhh you can't win 😫

This is why we are keeping it to ourselves. Everyone is so much more accepting when baby's born and then they find out. Otherwise they just sit and dwell on it. Dunno why people tell a baby's name so early on. Gotta keep something exciting to yourself

Ignore them. Your child, not theirs. A kid will get teased regardless of what their name is. It is just a part of growing up in life. Boys always used my last name if they wanted to make fun of me. Who cares though? Raise your child to be a tough kid and you shouldn't worry about it.

Her father hates her name lol but I think secretly it is growing on him. He refused to take picking a name seriously and wanted to wait till she was born! So I picked one without him :)

My mum an my son dnt like the name iv picked an sum of my friends but I realy dnt care because it's my baby an love it, even tho iv not said it decently goin to be that name because u never knw till ther born, my friend had her name picked since she found out it was a boy an soon as he was born she changed it cos it didn't suit him, I dnt think ppl shud say if they dnt like it because it's not ther chose or ther baby, and not every1 is goin to like everything
