Could it be twins?

I'm pregnant for the first time. At 4w3d, hcg was at 5600, and at 4w6d, hcg was at 15800.

No prior history of twins in the family,
Could those hcg levels be indicative of twins?!

I'm 36+5 with twins and my hcg levels were always in normal range of a single pregnancy while my friends measured much higher and she just had her little boy.

HCG can be a factor but many women have high numbers while only pregnant with one.
