Excruciating fibroid pain

I had my baby 5 days ago and I'm cramping terribly at the location of my fibroids. No pain pill works. I'm not sure what's going on seeing as how they've never given me problems before. I will call my doctor in the morning but has anyone else experienced this? Upon research, I learned about fibroid degeneration and wondered if this is what I could be experiencing. Thanks!
