baby moving or BH?

Krystal
I am 36 weeks and a FTM. My question is since baby is so crowded at this point, how do you tell the difference between Braxton Hicks or real contractions as oppose to baby trying to get comfy? I feel like I may be having BH but I can't tell if it's her to moving into a different position.

Real contractions typical start low and in the back then wrap around. BH's are usually closer to the top. BH also aren't regular and tend to go away after moving around a bit and drinking water. They can also last a few minutes as opposed to the real ones which last about 90 seconds.

BH for me seems to make my stomach so tight and hard, it's uncomfortable.. Baby poking is usually on one side and the other side of my belly is soft. I usually just rub the area where he is sticking and the baby move into different position.

You should be able to tella difference between baby moving and braxton hicks.. for me my whole belly gets tight and I feel pressure and tightness.. when baby moves I can usually push on her and she moves and that pressure is gone.. real contractions come with lower abdominal cramps like when u have a period.. low pressure and back pain are also signs when u have the contractions..
