what can and can't I do?

Okay, so I work for aldi supermarket and I'm 8 weeks pregnant.  I'm hearing a lot of mixed messages about what I shouldn't be lifting however my boss says it's fine for me to carry on pulling pallets around and lifting heavy stuff as I'm still very early? Am I worrying or is what I'm currently doing at work a danger?

My midwife told me to limit myself to 30 lbs for lifting. As far as other activity she told me as long as I don't dehydrate myself or push myself to exhaustion, just keep doing what i normally do. So I worked a lot, pulled long shifts, etc... like I said up until I hit third trimester. I've backed way off since because my belly is making my back hurt. But keep active! It really helps.

I know things are a bit different everywhere. For my job I'd have to have a Dr's note. Another pregnant coworker does & I don't. I still do my job best I can, as a server it's a team effort so most coworkers are understanding & keep me on lighter shift work. Most people are always checking with me & asking if I need help.

Your boss is not a doctor! He/she shouldn't be giving out medical advice that they know nothing about. It sounds like they just want you to keep moving things so they don't have to bother with finding someone else to do it or do it themselves.

He or she doesn't have the right to say what is acceptable for you to life or carry they're not a medical professional. 
If they're not being supportive go see your doctor and get a letter stating that you should not be doing heavy lifting in pregnancy x
