Crawling & sitting?????

How did you get your babies to crawl and sit up. My little one hates the jumbo seat and only does like 5 mins of tummy time Until he starts to cry. I don't know what else to do. He is already 6 months. Ftm.

Sitting was much easier for us than tummy time. It just depends on ur baby I guess.

My dad told me to put him down and let him learn on his own. And that's what he did. He learned to sit up by hisself.  And roll over. I didn't really do tummy time.  Then last week he started pulling up and walk around the couch and the other day started crawling.  He turn 6 months on the 3rd. I think if you just let your baby down more they will learn on their own time. Just because another baby the same age is progressing faster doesn't mean anything. All babies are different and learn on their own time. ☺☺

My baby hated tummy time, the only way I could get her to do it was by letting her watch cartoons. Her hate for it actually worked out well for us tho, she was sitting by 4 months and crawling by 5 months 😂 she learnt quick because she didn't want to be on her tummy! Haha

We honestly just did tummy time ever since we brought him home. The hospital reccomended doing a few minutes a day from just a few days old. It took a while for him to like it but he's 5.5months old and army crawling everywhere and I definitely think he'll be crawling by 6months. Sitting up has been harder.. he just started sitting up unassisted last week and he's still working on it. I'd say the bumbo or even a sit me up. I lay my LO down on the floor and let him grab my fingers and he tries to push up in the sitting position so I let him practice that a lot.

We used the bumbo chair once, my LO did not love it. I also read some material which say it puts them at a unnatural position so can delay sitting up unsupported... so don't stress too much about the chair.

Just keep repeating the tummy time. My lo hated it for ages but it's now her favourite position. She's only now just starting to try sitting and she's 6 months. Can't quite do it yet.
