Why can't he compromise

So this Sunday is my cousins baby shower. And I will be dropping my bf off at work and then going to the shower. He expects me to only go for an hour and leave to meet him on lunch so he can sit in the car... 
So I'm supposed to miss 2 hours of the shower so he can sit in the car on break...

Why can't he sit in the break room??

Not go mention the only time I leave the house is to go with him somewhere, go to the store, or go pay bills.

But god forbid this one time I want to do something I have to limit my time there for him... Why can't he compromise? Why do I always have to make the sacrifice....

If it's your car then I wouldn't gaf how he feels and stay at your cousins baby shower. If it's his car then why can't he drive himself to work? Don't make things complicated on yourself when he's going to be at WORK. He a grown man he don't need a damn car just to sit in to eat and take a break.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but when is the baby shower in relation to the time your bf has to work? Because I'm taking it as ypu are dropping him off and going straight to the baby shower, so he's going to be at work for an hour and then on lunch...

Either way, let him know you want to be involved in the baby shower and see family and friends and that he can be an adult and sit in the break room or just go outside like everyone else.
