3 weeks maternity leave?

3 weeks maternity leave? What's your opinions? To short? To long? I'm currently in school right now working towards my diploma, I'm 17 and 27 weeks pregnant at the moment and due in February, hearing my maternity leave is only gonna be 3 weeks kind of scares me cause I see other people  getting a couples months, so comment below, thanks

I had a emergency c section at 20 years old. I was also in school and determined to succeed. I went back after 2 1/2 weeks with breast feeding pumping and all. You can do anything you set your mind too. Of course take it easy but your professors do understand also.

My friends were my support system being I lived away from home. But I refused to listen to those who told me to take off a semester and bond with your child. My daughter is now 9 years old and we are and have always been very close. I tell her she has a college education because she attended many classes with me.

My to keep going on and on, but at age 26 I successfully completed my MBA. My point is follow your heart and never listen to others to lead you. Your body will tell you when to slow down and stop. But your young. Get your education so you will have a better life for you and your baby. Congratulations 🎉

Your body won't be healed and ready to be travel back and forth after 3 weeks. Your 1st check up after baby is gonna be 6 weeks and I'm pretty sure no medical professional will release you back to work in 3 weeks

That's not very long, I would try to do 6 weeks which is when your doctor generally clears you. Did you find a daycare to take them that early? Most won't even take until 6 weeks.

Are you going back to work or school? It sounds like school. I'm a full time college student and went back one week after she was born and I felt fine!

I think that's way to short, I'm starting my leave at 36wks. I'm due 12/25 my leave is from 11/27/16-2/5/17. You should at the very least get 6wks after birth

I'm assuming your talking about school. Is it college classes or high school? Your high schoo should have some sort of home schooling option for you if you wand to stay out longer.. college may be a little harder beings they have actual credit hours and you can't miss but certain amount before you fail. I was completely back to normal in all aspects of the word by two weeks after my kids were born ... I still didn't go to work but I did anything and everything else I wanted.

Are you talking about maternity leave from school? If you're at a high school with classes that are far away from each other involving walking long distances and climbing stairs no you will not be ready adter 3 weeks. 6 weeks is the medical minimum. Do you have to go back right away or will someone come to your house with your assignments for the 2nd three weeks?

Federal law in US is 6 weeks after birth(unpaid unfortunately- pay is up to employer). You can also get up to 3 before your due date. 
But besides that, you really won't be healed and ready to go by 3 weeks anyway, your doctors won't release you, and it definitely won't be enough time with baby off the bat, for you or baby!
