How can I spice it up?

So my husband and I been together for about 5 years now and he NEVER wants to have sex in crazy places. He is very conservative yet freaky ,but apparently not as spontaneous as i would like him to be. Also, Feel like he is too soft in the bedroom... like i want him to just grab me and rip my clothes off and take control. I spoke to him about trying new things ,but not about him not taking control... how can i tell him without hurting his feelings? And what are some things i can do to spice things up?
