What's wrong with chasing a guy?

Am I the only one who wonders why most women say that you should let a man come to you? It's 2016... why can't you make the first move or chase after a man? I know it sounds "desperate" but why desperate coming from a woman, but "cute" when it comes to a man doing it?!!

Bc most people including men believe men like the chase and if u take the chase away just makes u too easy. Not sure how true it is tho. Ur life do you. If ur interested in a guy let him know.

Because if a guy really likes you, he will be trying to get with you rather than running away expecting you to chase him. Don't get me wrong, I don't think asking a guy on a date (one time) is chasing them. But after you've let them know you're available, if they aren't taking the next step, then the woman should move on. Why waste your time chasing after a guy (who isn't doing a thing for your self esteem) when there are so many others out there?  Anyway, if all he's doing is rotating through dodging you and leading you on, he's shady and you don't wanna be with a dude like that anyway. A real man is gonna tell you from the jump that he's not available.

I like it better when a man shows interest in me. It tells me that he thinks I'm a priority. If he's displaying interest in me, then he's not treating me like an after thought or taking me for granted. If you chase him, he's gonna always think you're gonna chase him and put up with his shit. That's just not the kind of foundation I want for my relationship.

I think it really depends on the guy. Some guys would probably enjoy being chased after.
