I have a genetic disorder that predisposes me to all forms of cancers of the digestive track, uterine, skin, breast.. you name it. My father passed it on to me and he had stomach, colon, skin, and testicular cancer.  It's a 50/50 chance it gets passed on to my offspring. And without a doubt I will be having my own children.

I am quite offended by this stupid question. Cancer has become so common most people in there lifetime will know someone who has had cancer. My husband has had cancer twice when he was fifteen years old and twenty nine years old. He was told he will never have children at the age of fifteen but we had two beautiful children and number three on the way. When he had cancer at twenty nine my daughter was only six weeks old the doctor told him you are lucky you have had another child. When you have radiotherapy again it will destroy all your sperm. He couldn't see his baby girl until she was almost four months he had to stay away from us it was one of the most difficult time for us as our family. By the grace of God I have managed to convince even when the doctors have Said its impossible. I love my husband dearly I would have children with him over and over again I don't give a shit he has had cancer. My dad died from cancer my father in law also died from cancer I hate cancer with a passion. Just because someone has has cancer it doesn't make them untouchable. Cancer doesn't discriminate rich or poor young or old any one can get it.

Just had my healthy baby girl 3 months ago. To our surprise she was actually conceived after my husband's 1st round of chemo. He is now a 2 time cancer survivor. There are no guarantees in life and cancer is not going to stop us from living our lives to the fullest.

I have a family history of cancer (my dad and paternal grandmother) and my husband has scoliosis. We're still going to have kids. You can't go around being scared of a bunch of what ifs.
