Depends on your lifestyle with a newborn. It's not recommended that babies sleep for extended times in the car seat. They should be flat on their back so if you are out a lot with the baby for extended hours, bassinet might be better. If you are just popping in and out for short errands, it's not worth it as they outgrow it pretty quick.

In all cases, at 6 months, most strollers are generally ok for baby
