induction date?

Was wondering when all you mamas sat down with your doctors to set an induction date. I don't mean for medical reasons. I mean like if you don't have your baby by 42 weeks I know most doctors induce by then. I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow and just curious how many weeks you were when you set a date.

I'll be 38 weeks Wednesday, had my apportionment this morning. My doctor spoke to me about my induction date. He said my cervix is ready, I'm dilated, and baby is there, so he thinks she will come soon, but if she doesn't come by next Tuesday, he is inducing me on Wednesday of next week! We will have a thanksgiving baby! He's only inducing me because I've had trouble this pregnancy and he doesn't want me to go 40 weeks.

My office midwives don't like to induce before 42 weeks but give the option at 41. They told me most ftms don't deliver until 41+3. I waited until 41+3 to be induced. The stripped my membranes twice and I think I probably would've gone into labor a couple days later bc when I went in they said I wa shaving contractions. Wish I would've waited but I was so miserable, depressed, and worried about baby so we decided to induce. Everything went smoothly and I only needed a gel on my cervix twice when the normal dose is 3 times. It kicked me into labor within 30 seconds

We set a date last Friday at 38 weeks. We are inducing this weekend at 39 weeks bc baby is too big.

With my first my doctor wanted to induce around 39 weeks. We didn't set the date until I went in for my 39 week appointment. I was induced at 39w2d.

We haven't a set week but my dr only lets you go 10 days over the due date, so my due date is 03.07 and if nothing happens I only have til 03.17 so 41.5 weeks

Once I went past due I was 40+4 he told me if I didn't have her over the weekend that he would induce on Monday, so that's what happened I was induced at 41 weeks.

I will be induced this Friday at 39 weeks due to high BP. However, before we decided to set it up, we talked about non-medical reasoned induction at around 30 weeks. My OB said If I'm dilated to a 2-3, she will induce me on my due date. If I'm not dilated, she will induce at 41 weeks either way if I'd like. She said in Hawaii that they are strongly discourage women going to 42 weeks as the risks get higher. So since I'm being induced for medical reasons now,  we haven't talked any more about non-medical induction.
