need advice!!

Okay so I have been back and forth to the Dr since August trying to see if I have PCOS bc my periods are really irregular like I'll go months without one. They did blood work and it came back that my insulin levels were through the roof so they put me on Metformin to treat it even though I'm not diabetic. The Dr says that he doesn't think I have PCOS because I don't have any other signs of it. So on October 17 he gave me 12 days worth of Prometrium to start my period and I still haven't started. I go back on Thursday and I am going to tell him all of this again. If you were in my shoes what would you do? Hubby and I have been TTC for a year!
