I'm getting the ParaGard which is a nonhornonal IUD. There are others like sponge, cervical cap, diaphragm, spermicide, and condoms. The effectiveness is different for all of these.

Besides a condom (male or female), diaphragm (one of the least reliable because you can put it in wrong), your only option is a copper IUD. In that case, you are still putting something foreign in your body and it can cause your body to reject it or cause infertility. So there are risks with everything and you have to figure out what works best for you.
