Follow up OB visits

I swear every follow up I have had a baby has been born right before my appointment and my doctor is over an hour late to see me. I understand babies come when they want to and one day it will be me needing her from the delivery room but as someone who works full time I have to take time off work for these appointments. Even the latest appointment in the day, I have to leave work an hour early. That's an hour I don't get paid. It just feels disrespectful. I rather her reschedule rather then have me sit here for an hour

**after appointment update: I finally saw my doctor at 5:45 1.45 hours after my appointment time. The office closes at 5 and I could hear everyone leaving and I saw the hall light turn off from under my door. A janitor actually walked into my room and was shocked I was there. Just my luck!!! At least babies heart sounded good and my belly measured on time. Now I'm going to go home and sleep 😂
