home birth?

Anyone previously had a home birth in California. I just am curious how many woman do it. I'm 22. This is baby #2 and I really want to experience the full natural aspect of birth and worried birthing in a hospital will change that and I'll end up in a c section.

How much did it cost you? And how difficult was it? Would you do it again? How did everything go after birth?

not from cali but in texas a midwife typically costs about 6000 . a lot of them take insurance. my older sisters had their kids at home and they wouldn't want it any other way. said it was the best experience ever.

I haven't had my baby yet, but my sister in law has had three home births in California and has paid around 3,000-4,000 I believe.

I've been trying to figure that out as well. I live in stockton California and this would be our 2nd pregnancy, and I have always wanted to do an at home water birth. Actually wanted to do it with my 1st, but we lost that baby. So hoping to do it with this one. Good luck on finding the info you need. ☺
