nipple pain

So I've been getting nipple burning/pain today while my daughter is feeding I had it last week but it went away and have barely noticed ... I'm thinking she's getting a bit lazy with her latch because if it were thrush it wouldn't have went away for a few days and no symptoms in her mouth ? Anyone else experience this ... I always forget to use my nipple cream and I'm wondering if they are just very raw
