When do they check do see if you've dilated..

When do they start checking you.. I'm 36 week 2 days an they still havnt checked... Can someone help me with what there supposed to do at appiotments. All I ever seem to do is get a check every 2 weeks. Blood pressure weight and baby position that's all

My IB was going to check at 35 or 36 weeks but my baby came at 34 weeks 5 days and that checking shit hurt worse than anything even my c section lol

No checks for me until 40 weeks or I  am in labour. It's not needed until then.

Every doctor is different . I've heard cervical checks aren't really needed but doctors like to take note of how your body is progressing to get an idea of when possibly labor can start and what not. My doctor started doing weekly checks starting at 35 weeks so since 35 weeks I've been getting cervix checked I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and I'm 2 cm dilated and baby's head is already low ☺️

My OB said he doesn't start checking until 38 weeks, but I'll be 37 at my appointment tomorrow and he's checking because we have to travel this weekend.

They checked me this week at 34 weeks due to having BH contractions and being high risk.
