getting pregnant post miscarriage?

I was pregnant for the first time and miscarried just recently, most people say to wait until you get your first period, does everyone agree with that? Or do some people just go for it once the bleeding stops?

1st off I'm sorry for your loss, my miscarriage last year was one of the most physically & emotionally painful experiences I've ever been through, I wish no woman would ever have to deal w/ it. As to your question I think it depends on a lot of factors: how far along someone was when they miscarried, they're overall health, if they had any complications during the miscarriage, if it was a natural miscarriage or if they ended up needing d&c or medication etc. I've seen people on here say their doctor told them they could try again right away & others say their doc told them to wait 6 months. I had a missed miscarriage last year, basically @ the 8 week ultrasound they found a 6 week empty sac, we opted to wait for the natural miscarriage to happen instead of d&c or medication, my doc had said it would probably happen in 10 days to 2 weeks, unfortunately it took over 3 weeks, I bled a lot & ended up in the ER, we were advised no intercourse for 3 weeks & to wait to try again until after I'd had 2 normal cycles, we followed that recommendation & started trying again in Feb. of this year, got my BFP in May, currently 27w3d w/ a healthy baby girl. Listen to your docs advice & to your own body & emotions & go from there, good luck & hopefully your rainbow baby will be on their way soon!

I fell pregnant straight after a mc doctors advised me to wait but that was so they could date the pregnancy easier we just carried on as normal instead of using bc now 30 weeks good luck and sorry for ur loss X

I miscarried twins in July and got pregnant again in September. I'm not sure personally if my body was ready but I'm now 10 weeks and still doing fine!
