3 aka after miscarriage, positive test

So I believe I miscarried three weeks ago. I had some clotting, minor cramps and bleeding, but not enough to soak a pad. Most of the bleeding occurred when I would use the restroom. I've been taking pregnancy tests once a week since, and all are positive. This afternoon, I took another one and it's super dark. I called the doctor and he said that usually after a MC and the bleeding has stopped a pregnancy test will show up negative. I am so confused, and cannot get into the doctor until a week from today! Anyone else been through this?
