Would you let your other children in the delivery room?

Question

We have a 6 year old, we are a military family that just moved so we don't know any one and have no family out here so having to bring our 6 year old into the delivery room is a big possibility. Which got me thinking if I would have him there even if we did have family to watch him. Personally, I think I still would if he wanted to and he seems excited about it.

My son is so into my pregnancy, so curious and happy he is getting a sibling. 
I would like him in the room with me too. I mean not watching the whole baby come out but on the side or on the bed next to me. We don't have many family either here like you all so I think it's ok!!

Our 7 year old son was in the room, at the last minute he decided to go in the bathroom and wait it out. lol he was a trooper the whole day/night otherwise. He talks about it and doesn't seem traumatized by it at all.

At the hospital I work at we don't allow anyone under the age of 13 years old. It can be traumatic but every child handles it differently.

My kids are 4 and 2 and I wouldn't let them. I feel it would be traumatizing to see me in that much pain and they're too curious. lol they'd be stressing me out too much and I just don't want them there.

There's a good chance we'll already be in the hospital at that point with my son, and then just need care for my daughter! Lol

I had my 7 year old daughter in the delivery room with me, and she handled it well, she even cut the cord

Never. I don't want anyone there other than my husband. To me it should be about the people that made the baby and extra people are not needed in the room. This includes other kids. To each their own though.

My son was there with my MIL (he's was only 1) but we're also military and I only had her and my baby's God-mother there as my hubs was deployed.
