I dont currently live in ny but im here now and wondering about uber? Am i supposed to tip uber drivers? I tried twice two different drivers and they both looks surprised and almost awkward. Im starting to think that this isnt what most people do?

Chicago über user here. No you don't have to tip. And most people don't, as that is one benefit of uber, it's already included in the price unlike taxi cabs. If you want to give them more, by all means, but that is why you're getting weird looks because most don't.

You don't tip them woth cash. Everything is done on your account. When your trip is finished it should pop up in the app asking how much you want to tip.
