breast feeding a 4 day old.

My four day daughter is acting like she has totally forgotten how to breast feed. When I first had her Sunday morning she latched and started to feed right away. She's been ok while we have been at the hospital. Eventually we could get her to latch but we came home yesterday and I tried to get her to latch and feed and she just seemed completely confused by latching. She can't seem to latch she will thrash around even though I have the nipple right there. She will get it in her mouth suck for a second then spit it back out. The REALLY worrisome thing is she hasn't seemed to interested in even eating this go around. It's been about 3 hours since she ate last and now she just seems to not be hungry.... I'm also at the point where I'm about to give up and make her some formula... is it normal for a newborn to skip feedings and randomly act like they forgot how to latch?
