Bacterial Vaginosis Pills

So my doctor said I had a severe bacterial infection yesterday and prescribed some pills. Well I took my first one this morning and it was awful. I took it with water and this horrible taste entered my mouth and the pill dissolved before I could even swallow! It sent me in a horrible vomiting fit. Now Everytime I drink water the damn taste comes back. I'll drink soda and it's fine. I'll eat and it's fine but as soon as I drink water it'll send that horrible taste back up and I'll vomit. Does anyone else have this problem? How can I alleviate it? How am I supposed to take this twice a day for seven days?
